Snoop Dogg has become a grandfather for the first time.

The rapper’s eldest son, Corde Broadus and wife Jessica Kyzer, have had a son, Zion, and Snoop took to Instagram to welcome the new arrival – see below.

Posting pictures of his family with the baby, Snoop wrote “‘Zion. U have a lot of love WAitn on u grandson!!” A picture of his wife, Shante Taylor, holding Zion was captioned “‘Proud grandma”.

Snoop Dogg, who was not present in hospital, has three children – Corde, 20, Cordell, 17, and Cori, 15. Zion is his first grandchild.

Snoop Dogg‘s next album, ‘Bush’, will be released in mid-March. The LP will be produced in its entirety by Pharrell Williams and will feature contributions from Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson. ‘Peaches N Cream’ is set to be the record’s lead single.

“It’s a great record me and Pharrell did from top to bottom. It feels good and I’m happy to be back in the studio working with one of my favourite producers and homeboys,’ Snoop Dogg told MTV last year. “It’s different – it’s completely different than anything we’ve ever done. It feels good, sounds good, looks good.”

Pharrell, who has previously worked with Snoop on hits ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’, said: “Snoop’s album is better than mine. You’re gonna bug out from the approach and what we did.”

Zion. U have a lot of love WAitn on u grandson !! 🙏
