Rapper says he wanted to bring "peace, love and happiness" into the world with gospel album
Snoop Dogg has renewed his beef with Donald Trump, comparing the US President to the devil.
Last March saw the rapper unveil his controversial ‘BADBADNOTGOOD’ video, which depicted Snoop pulling a gun on a man closely resembling Trump.
The President later fired back on Twitter, claiming that Snoop wouldn’t have got away with it if the video was aimed at former President Obama.
“Can you imagine what the outcry would be if Snoop Dogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama?” Trump wrote. “Jail time!”
On the back of his recent gospel album, Snoop appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night (April 9) to his explain his new religious direction. “The world that we live in now, with all the negativity and violence, I just wanted to make something that represented peace, love and happiness,” he said.
Snoop was then asked if he believed in the devil, to which he replied: “Definitely”. Asked to describe what the devil is like, Snoop said: “The President.”

Snoop’s latest album ‘Bible of Love’ is out now. The rapper recently responded to critics questioning his move into gospel.
“It was always in me from the moment I came into the music industry, I always had gospel music influences,” Snoop said.
“I always referred to my saviour Jesus Christ on most of the records that I spoke on; I always had moments that I would reflect on that and let people know that I was a born again Christian. So it was just time for me to actually put my money where my mouth was.”
