SNOW PATROL PULL GIGS

Gary Lightbody says local police fear a mini Woodstock...

Snow Patrol have pulled out of two shows scheduled for the tiny ISLAND OF ARRAN.

The band were due to play the remote shows over the weekend. However, a spokesperson for the band told NME.COM the gigs will now not happen “due to circumstances beyond the band’s control control”.

The band will now play Glasgow QMU on April 10. Tickets for either of the Arran shows will guarantee entry to this show.

Singer Gary Lightbody said “We’re really disappointed that we are unable to play on Arran. These shows were booked before we released ‘Run’, and things have obviously gone a bit mad for us since then.

“The local Police on Arran now think that they will have a mini Woodstock on their hands and the conditions they have imposed on us at this late stage make it impossible to play there. We hope that everyone who planned to go to Arran will be able to make it to the new show at the QMU, and we’ll do our best to make sure that it’s a brilliant show – we may even throw a few surprises into the set”.
