First UK guitar band to go top five for 13 years

Snow Patrol’s latest single has broken into the US top five.

‘Chasing Cars’ currently sits at number five after twenty weeks on the chart.

The group are the first British guitar band to break into the American Hot 100 top five for 13 years.

The band have recently completed a tour of the US, where their album ‘Eyes Open’ is at number 29 on the Top Current Albums chart.

Snow Patrol‘s new single, ‘Set The Fire To The Third Bar’, featuring Martha Wainwright, is released in the UK on November 13.

The band are set to embark on a sold-out UK arena tour following the single’s release, calling at the following venues:
