Keyboard player's drug possession charge fails to proceed

Snow Patrol keyboard player Tom Simpson was due in court in Glasgow yesterday morning (September 25).

The keyboardist was due to face court proceedings after being charged with possession of a Class A drug.

However, the charge has now been brought into question as the case was “not called”, after which a spokeswoman for the Crown Office said proceedings would be dropped, as they were no longer appropriate after getting more information was received from Strathclyde Police.

The news follows Simpson‘s no-show at Glasgow Sherriff Court on July 31, charged with possession of cocaine in Glasgow on June 24.
