'21 Seconds' is tipped to end the reign of 'Eternal Flame'...

SO SOLID CREW are being tipped as the most likely candidates to knock ATOMIC KITTEN from the top of the UK single charts.

Yesterday, Atomic Kitten‘s cover of The Bangles‘ ‘Eternal Flame’ held on to the top of the UK single charts for the second week.

Today (August 6), a host of new releases are bidding for chart success.

According to a chart expert at Virgin Megastore in London, So Solid Crew‘s new single ’21 Seconds’ is likely to be this week’s highest new entry, and is a possible Number One single.

She commented: “There has been huge media support for this single across radio and music television channels like MTV and The Box. Nothing is concrete at this stage, but I’d be surprised if it didn’t do really well”.

Other new releases this week come from Bjork, who releases her new single ‘Hidden Place’, Missy Elliott, who releases ‘One Minute Man’, Radiohead, who release ‘Knives Out’ and Jennifer Lopez, who releases her new single ‘Ain’t it Funny’. All are expected to break the Top 15.

Visit NME.COM tomorrow for an update on this week’s chart battle, and then again on Sunday (August 12) for a list of the full top 100 singles.
