So Solid Crew founder Megaman is to face a retrial next year for his alleged involvement in the murder of Colin Scarlett.
The jury at the Old Bailey today (October 28) was unable to agree on a verdict and he will face the court again on March 20.
However, co-defendant and friend Carl Morgan has been jailed for life after being found guilty for gunning down Scarlett last November.
Judge Brian Barker ordered he should serve a minimum of 30 years before he can be considered for parole.
The Old Bailey jury heard that Morgan, an associate of So Solid Crew, had been beaten up by Scarlett – his ex-girlfriend’s new partner.
Morgan then confronted him on his home territory in Wandsworth. He was convicted of the murder last week but his sentencing was adjourned until today.
According to Sky News, Judge Barker told Morgan: “The prosecution describe this as a revenge execution borne out of humiliation and I agree. Three bullets hit Scarlett. He did return fire but there is no evidence of them finding their mark or anyone on your side receiving injury.”
He added: “You have taken away a young life and although his friends and family will get used to his death, they will never get over it.”
Both Megaman – real name Dwayne Vincent – and Morgan denied murdering Scarlett.
