So Solid Crew played in court

Music by the group is heard in Megaman trial

So Solid Crew’s music has been played at Old Bailey in London today during the trial of band member Megaman (October 6).

The murder jury heard tracks by the garage group, as the prosecution said that there were references to guns in the rapper’s songs.

Megaman – real name Dwayne Vincent – is accused of encouraging his friend, Carl Morgan, to shoot a man dead.

Both defendants deny murdering Colin Scarlett last November.

The defence have denied that Megaman’s songs refer to guns, and the So Solid Crew founder has said he is anti-guns.

Megaman’s counsel claim that it is another rapper performing when a gun reference is made and also state that the word officers believed was Uzi, is ooze, BBC News reports.

It is alleged that Megaman and Morgan went to Scarlett’s home and killed him after he beat-up Morgan.
