Solange launches mysterious social media site amid new album speculation

“How much of ourselves do we leave at home and how much do we carry with us forever?,”

Solange has seemingly teased that a new album could be on the way, after setting up her own personalised page on BlackPlanet.

While the social media site has existed since 1999, Solange’s newly created page features a selection of new photos, GIFS and mysterious text that could well be new lyrics..

How much of ourselves do we leave at home and how much do we carry with us forever?” reads one of the lyrics on the new page.

Another states: “Threw my earnings like offerings and prayed it went to something that made her feel good.”

One of the gifs, meanwhile, sees Solange posing in front of a classic white American muscle car.

It comes after the singer discussed a new album in 2018 – and promised that “there is a lot of jazz at the core…but with electronic and hip-hop drum and bass because I want it to bang and make your trunk rattle.”

Solange also confirmed earlier in 2018 that she was working on new music  alongside The Internet‘s Steve Lacy.

The new album will follow directly from 2016’s ‘A Seat At The Table’, which received widespread acclaim.

Later this year, Solange will also return to Manchester and London where she will headline Parklife and Lovebox Festivals.
