Sonic Youth have been confirmed to play this year’s Glastonbury Festival, which takes place over June 26, 27 and 28.
Other bands confirmed for Glastonbury include Placebo (pictured), Blur, Embrace, Spiritualized, Underworld, Ian Brown, Finley Quaye and Bob Dylan.
Other recent additions to the bill include Dawn Of The Replicants, Ben Folds Five, Tori Amos and Idlewild.
Sonic Youth will also release their new album ‘A Thousand Leaves’ on May 4. The band may also play other European dates, though nothing has been confirmed as yet.
