It's just days away
Sound City, Liverpool’s independent new music festival, has revealed its venue splits ahead of its opening over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Now in its 11th year, the festival will see Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle area play host to 20 locations over its two days in May – Saturday 5 and Sunday 6.
Tickets for the weekend are £55 and artists include Peace, DMA’s, Idles, Stealing Sheep, Black Honey and Matt Maltese. See the venue splits in the images below:
Sound City this year plays host to Worcester band Peace, who are set to release their new album ‘Kindness Is The New Rock And Roll’ immediately prior to the festival.
The four-piece recently teased the album with new single ‘You Don’t Walk Away From Love’, which frontman Harry Koisser described as being “about the colours of the heart that live under the cool pastels and monochrome chequers… It’s about the bright primary stubbornness and unsophisticated optimism that won’t stop squirming toward true love. It’s a 100% real life true human emotional time capsule being unearthed for me. It was something I was desperate to say to somebody but obviously didn’t have the courage.”
In February the band found a vocal fan in Frances Bean Cobain, who revealed that their single ‘From Under Liquid Glass’ was her “favourite track of the last 10 years.”
