The first acts for Sound City Liverpool 2018 have been announced.
The festival will return once again to Merseyside next year for its 11th edition, with the event set to be held across the Baltic Triangle and Cains Brewery on May 5-6, 2018. Previous years have seen the likes of Catfish And The Bottlemen, The Cribs and Metronomy perform at the festival.
Sound City have now announced the first batch of confirmed acts for its 2018 festival, with Peace, Baxter Dury and Idles leading the way.
Ibibio Sound Machine, Jaws, Slow Readers Club, Low Island, Cassia, The Orielles and Zuzu will also all play at Sound City next year.
Even more acts for the 2018 festival are set to be announced in due course, with the line-up for next year’s event being curated by a wide range of collaborators – including Glastonbury’s Silver Hayes, Kendal Calling, BBC 1XTRA, Heavenly Recordings, and Moshi Moshi Records.
Full ticket details can be found here, with weekend passes due to go on sale tomorrow (November 24) at 9am.
Becky Ayres, the chief operating officer for Sound City, previously spoke about the festival’s decision to relocate back to the city centre.
“We now feel it is time for us to come back to the city centre and embark on the next stage of our journey,” she said. “2018 will all be about re-establishing new links and a new feel. This will also lead us into the hugely ambitious plans that we have for 2019, which will be revealed over the coming months.”
