All three acts will take to the stage in East London’s Victoria Park ahead of the American band’s headline performance on Sunday June 2. You can buy tickets here via DICE.
Bon Iver’s headline slot comes as they join five other headliners (including Bring Me The Horizon, The Strokes, Christine and the Queens and Mumford & Sons) at the London festival as it returns for two weekends between May 24-26 and May 31 – June 2.
The inaugural All Points East Festival took place in 2018 and saw headline performances from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, The XX and Bjork.
It’s also expected to mark one of Bon Iver’s final shows as touring concludes for 2016’s ’22, A Million’.
In a four star review, NME wrote: “Leaning heavily on twisted, vocoder-filtered vocals, it’s a world away from 2007’s handcrafted, shed-hewn ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’ debut. It seems hanging out with the boundary-nudging Kanye West has had a lasting impact. The plaintive ‘715 – CR∑∑KS’ is wobbly, underwater-sounding a cappella that finds beauty in the ebbing and flowing of Vernon’s voice, while the crashing soundscapes of ‘666 ʇ’ sound like something found in a dusty, spider-ridden corner of Kanye’s hard drive.”
