Emma Bunton has revealed further details from last week’s Spice Girls reunion.
The meeting happened on February 2nd, and saw the musicians posting photos on social media of their first full reunion since the 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony.
Speaking on her Heart London breakfast radio show this morning, Bunton, AKA Baby Spice, told listeners that the band ate sushi and salad and drank prosecco, enjoying a full catch up on life since the Spice Girls.
“We reminisced about the old times, we were talking about the kids, it was lovely,” she said.
“It was just so lovely to see everyone. I loved it, really good fun.”
She also discussed the band’s future plans, saying: “There’s lots of opportunities for us, especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world.”
Bunton added: “We need another kind of sit down, because we were chatting for hours and then we were like, “Oh we’ve got to pick the kids up! Quick!’
“It was hilarious because I was there and obviously got pictured coming out, lots of paparazzi and then the next minute I’m sitting in a church hall in Barnet and I’m waiting for my sons,” she said.
Yesterday, Sporty Spice Mel C admitted that the group had discussed the possibility of reunion projects together at last week’s meeting.
She said: “It’s the worst kept secret in showbiz, isn’t it?”
However she added that the discussions were still in the “early stages and there’s nothing set in stone.”
“There’s no big announcement,” she said.
“But it’s just great to be back in Spice World and see the reaction.”
Rumours of a Spice Girls reunion tour have been in circulation over the past few years, with three of the former members even forming a new group, GEM.
