Chart-toppers Spiller will headline RENAISSANCE LIVE at the PRIVILEGE club closing party in IBIZA later this month, nme.com can exclusively reveal.
The dance duo will perform their hit ‘Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)’ on September 13 in the 9,000 capacity venue. A host of DJs including Dave Seaman will also appear. Already this summer Moby, All Saints and Leftfield have played at the club.
Spiller vocalist Sophie Ellis-Bextor said she was delighted to be playing at the club on what will be her first trip to Ibiza. She also countered recent claims that though she is part of the one of the biggest dancefloor-fillers of the summer, she hates dance music.
She stated: “Contrary to what the press has said, I don’t hate dance music, I’m really getting into dance stuff now since I’ve been involved with the Spiller project.”
She added: “I’ve heard it’s fantastic at Renaissance, I can’t wait to sing there.”
