Festival named Best Small Festival at the NME Awards with Austin, Texas
Spiritualized have been announced as the first headliners for Liverpool Psych Fest 2015.
The band join other acts further down on the bill including Death And Vanilla, Evil Blizzard, Giant Swan, Menace Beach, and Vision Fortune.
Liverpool Psych Fest was named Best Small Festival at the NME Awards with Austin, Texas last week. The festival takes place on September 25–26 and tickets can be purchased from its official website now.
Spiritualized are due to release their eighth studio album this year. The album is being recorded between London and Spain and will be the follow up to 2012 release ‘Sweet Heart Sweet Light.’ It was previously reported that Killing Joke bassist Martin Glover aka Youth will appear on the record – an announcement that was made on the Spiritualized Facebook page and later confirmed by Killing Joke.
Spiritualized have also recently confirmed two US festival dates. The band will appear at Levitation (formerly named Austin Psych Fest) in May and will also feature alongside headliners The Strokes at Shaky Knees in Georgia, Atlanta later that same month.
Last year the band revealed a new track called ‘Always Together With You (The Bridge Song)’, which featured on the ‘Space Project’ compilation album, for which artists were invited to use sounds recorded during the Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 space probes on the album.
