Spiritualized's long-awaited live album at last sees daylight...

Spiritualized‘s long-awaited live album, recorded at London’s Royal Albert Hall last October, is released by deConstruction on November 2.

‘Live At The Albert Hall: October 10 1997’ will be released on double CD as well as a limited double vinyl run numbering 3,000 copies. The packaging for the LP will be in keeping with the award-winning packaging of the band’s ‘Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space’ album.

The release features the entire concert with most of the 15 tracks drawn from ‘Ladies And Gentlemen…’ and two songs each from ‘Pure Phase’ and ‘Lazer Guided Melodies’. There’s also a reworking of Spacemen 3’s ‘Walkin’ With Jesus’ and the band’s stage staple, ‘Oh Happy Day’. The band were augmented onstage by a string quartet, a four-piece brass section and a 12-piece gospel choir.
