With a brand new band, frontman Jason Pierce is producing the album himself and next month will start the final stage of the recording at London‘s Abbey Road Studios, adding two choirs to the album.
The album is tentatively set for release in October. It’s unlikely Spiritualized will play any live dates before then.
Meanwhile, Lupine Howl, the band made up of ex-Spiritualized members, have signed a worldwide recording deal with Beggars Banquet, but before that deal comes into effect, they will release a new single ‘Bronzage’ on June 12 through Vinyl Hiss.
The single will be backed up by a new track, ‘Voodoo Raygun’ as well as two new mixes of ‘Bronzage’ by Bristol-based groups Alpha and General Midi.
Lupine Howl expect to release their first single through Beggars in September 2000, with an album to follow early in 2001.
You can catch the band live at the Leeds festival on August 26 and Reading on August 27.
