David Bowie autographs guitar as gift for St Vincent

The guitar was a present from Cara Delevingne

St Vincent‘s Annie Clark has received a guitar signed by David Bowie as a present from actress, model and girlfriend Cara Delevingne.

The pair are rumoured to have been dating since earlier this year, with Delevingne confirmed their relationship to Vogue in July.

Taking to Twitter, Clark thanked Delevingne for the gift, writing: “An Airline Twin Tone guitar signed by David Bowie. Thank you, @caradelevingne. Best gift ever in the entire world. (Heart emoji…)”

Clark recently featured a track by Bowie when making a mixtape for an 11 year old fan, marking her first show on Apple Music’s new Beats 1 radio station.

Annie Clark released her self-titled fourth album as St Vincent in 2014, NME’s Number One album of that year. The record followed Clark’s previous albums ‘Marry Me’ (2007), ‘Actor’ (2009), ‘Strange Mercy’ (2011) and her collaborative album with David Byrne ‘Love This Giant’ in 2012.

Currently on tour in support of her aforementioned 2014 LP, St Vincent suffered minor injuries following a fall from a speaker stack at one of her recent shows.
