Ticket agency wound up by High Court

Get Me Tickets is put into compulsory liquidation

Get Me Tickets Ltd was wound up by the High Court yesterday (May 18), after hundreds of people complained that the company failed to deliver on its promises.

The ticket resale agency offered music lovers seats for highly sought after gigs at inflated prices.

Shut down by the government in February following complaints by customers who said that their tickets had arrived late or not turned up at all, Get Me Tickets Ltd was put into compulsory liquidation at the hearing yesterday.

Trading standards officers received 360 complaints in 2005 about Get Me Tickets Ltd and according to the government the company ignored regulations which said it had to disclose the original face value of the tickets to customers.

Get Me Tickets Ltd denied the allegations.
