Stefflon Don and Skepta open VO5 NME Awards 2018 with ‘Ding-A-Ling’ performance

Pair linked up to open the ceremony

Stefflon Don opened the VO5 NME Awards 2018 with a performance of her hit ‘Ding-A-Ling’, featuring a appearance from Skepta.

Following opening speeches from Huw Stephens and NME editor-in-chief Mike Williams, Stefflon Don took to the stage at Brixton Academy in London to a colourful backdrop and array of backing dancers, with Skepta joining her halfway through to deliver his guest verse.

Tonight sees the VO5 NME Awards 2018 descend upon the O2 Academy Brixton in London – where we’ll be celebrating the awesome year we’ve had in music. You can watch all of the action on here.

As well as Stefflon Don and Skepta, Alt-J and rising stars Pale Waves will also take to the stage. Closing the evening will be the epic finale of Liam Gallagher’s acceptance of this year’s Godlike Genius Award, and a huge closing performance.

Throughout the evening, Garbage legend Shirley Manson will also be in attendance to pick up the first ever NME Icon Award, while grime collective BBK (Boy Better Know) will be claiming the Innovation Award.

The likes of Muse, HAIM, Kasabian, Dua Lipa, Wolf Alice, The 1975, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Migos, Loyle Carner, Sigrid, Charli XCX, Lorde, Kendrick Lamar, Royal Blood and many, many more are also up for one of our coveted golden middle fingers this evening.
