STEREOPHONICS, BADLY DRAWN BOY , FEEDER and [a][/a] are amongst those playing a massive free concert in MANCHESTER (May 4).

The Radio 1-organised ‘One Big Weekend’ takes place in Manchester’s Heaton Park on May 3-4, with the Saturday being dedicated to dance and the Sunday given over to live artists and bands.

On May 3, the line-up includes Judge Jules and Fergie, Eddie Halliwell and Good Greef DJs Rob Tissera, Shan, Alex Kidd and Adam Sheridan. However, the following day will feature a “final massive act”, alongside current headliners Stereophonics. Other bands confirmed that day include Aqualung and Dirty Vegas.

The event will be free to attend, with 10,000 tickets available for each day. Radio 1 will host two special ticket giveaways in Manchester’s Albert Square. On April 18, the ticket office will open at 6pm until 9pm to get a free ticket to Saturday’s dance line-up. On April 25, head down to Albert Square between 9am and 12noon for the Sunday event.
