The Irish festival takes place over the weekend of August 4-5...

STEREOPHONICS, FUN LOVIN’ CRIMINALS, PAUL WELLER and PLACEBO are among the first set of bands confirmed for this year’s WITNNESS FESTIVAL in IRELAND, according to mcd.ie.

This year’s event takes place, as last year, at Fairyhouse Racecourse near Dublin over the weekend of August 4-5.

At a launch party last night at the Round Room in Dublin’s Mansion House venue, Stereophonics were confirmed as headliners.


Other bands confirmed for the festival so far are Tindersticks, The Frames, The Avalanches, Starsailor, James, Alabama 3, Snow Patrol, SLAM (DJ set), Death In Vegas‘ Richard Fearless (DJ set), Pelt, Wood and Thekeds across the five stages.

Weekend tickets for the event are priced IR£79 with camping or IR£64 without. However, fans buying tickets before June 16 will receive a discount of IR£5 without camping, or IR£10 with camping.
