STEREOPHONICS‘ next single ‘Just Looking’, released on February 22 through V2, will be used in the new British film This Year’s Love, starring Kathy Burke.
The single will be backed by live tracks ‘Local Boy In The Photograph’ and ‘Same Size Feet’, recorded at the BBC Radio 1 Lamacq Live Christmas Party.
Meanwhile, the This Year’s Love soundtrack also features previously released songs from Mercury Rev, Ocean Colour Scene, Garbage, Travis and The La’s and is released on February 22 through V2. The film, based around north London, is released on February 26.
Stereophonics have also announced the track listing for their second album, ‘Performance And Cocktails’, released on February 8. The follow-up to 1997’s ‘Word Gets Around’ features ‘Roll Up And Shine’ ‘The Bartender And The Thief’ ‘Hurry Up And Wait’ ‘Pick A Part That’s New’ ‘Just Looking’ ‘Half The Lies You Tell Ain’t True’ ‘I Wouldn’t Believe Your Radio’ ‘T-Shirt Suntan’ ‘Is Yesterday Tomorrow Today’ ‘A Minute Longer’ ‘She Takes Her Clothes Off’ ‘Plastic California’ ‘I Stopped To Fill My Car Up’.
The band have added two dates to their UK tour, one of which, at Glasgow Barrowlands (April 16), has already sold out. The tour now starts at Glasgow Barrowlands (April 15) and ends with a new date at London Brixton Academy (May 2).
