Kelly Jones, who has been on a solo tour of the UK and Ireland, was joined onstage at his Cardiff Coal Exchange gig on Friday night (November 24) by ‘Phonics compadres, drummer Stuart Cable and bassist Richard Jones, for the encores of Neil Young’s ‘Heart Of Gold’ and their own songs ‘I Wouldn’t Believe Your Radio’ and ‘Local Boy In The Photograph’.

Stereophonics’ third album ‘JEEP’ is released in the UK on April 9 through V2. It is expected that a single, ‘Mr Writer’, will precede the album’s release.

The band have also announced two major live shows for summer 2001, at Castle Donington (July 14) and Chepstow Racecourse (21). Tickets for the shows are on sale now.
