Iconic singer-songwriter will headline a British Summer Time show in London's Hyde Park
Stevie Wonder is to perform ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’ in its entirety in London this summer.
The iconic singer-songwriter will play his classic 1976 album at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 10. Tickets go on sale general this Friday (March 18) at 9am but O2 Priority customers can purchase tickets 9am Wednesday (March 16)
This will be the first time Wonder has brought his successful ‘Songs In The Key Of Life Tour’ to the UK, having previously played 34 of these shows in North America.
Featuring classic songs including ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’, ‘Sir Duke’, ‘As’ and ‘I Wish’, Wonder’s ‘Songs In The Key Of Life’ won four Grammys including Album Of The Year and is widely acknowledged as one of the best LPs of all time.
Barclaycard presents British Summer Time is a series of summer gigs held in the middle of London at Hyde Park, with this year’s bill already including Massive Attack headlining on July 1, Florence And The Machine playing with Kendrick Lamar on July 2, Mumford and Sons headlining on July 8 and Take That performing on July 9.
Last week it was announced that Carole King will play her first UK gig in 27 years at a British Summer Time show on July 3. She will perform her classic 1970 album ‘Tapestry’ in full, with support on the day coming from The Eagles’ Don Henley and her singer-songwriter daughter Louise Goffin.
