Stormzy previews debut album with new track ‘Scary’

Grime MC returns with new music and video

Stormzy has previewed his upcoming album with new track ‘Scary’.

The song is produced by Sir Spyro and comes with a dark video directed by regular collaborator Kaylum Dennis. ‘Scary’ is the first new music from Stormzy since ‘One Take Freestyle’, released in January.

A release date and title for Stormzy’s debut album is not yet confirmed but it is expected to be released in the summer.

Speaking to Clash recently, Stormzy said that with the album he wants listeners “to understand who I am, what I love, what I hate, what I treasure, what has stunted my growth, helped my growth. I want everything to be in this record.”

Meanwhile, Stormzy is in the running to record England’s official song for the Euro 2016 football tournament, according to recent bookies’ odds.

It’s been a busy year for the grime MC after he received the honour of his own custom burger on the Nando’s menu.

The grime MC, who also spoke to students at Oxford University in March, tweeted the chicken restaurant over the weekend with his reccomendation for a burger consisting of halloumi cheese and garlic bread which already feature on their menu as individual side orders.
