Stormzy paid tribute to those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire and took aim at Theresa May during his headline performance at Wireless last night (July 7).
The ‘Gang Signs & Prayer‘ star headlined Day 2 of the Finsbury Park event, which also saw performances from Migos, French Montana, Krept & Konan, and Big Shaq.
Bringing the evening to a close, the grime artist pulled out all the stops to create an epic show. The impressive set included a 40-piece symphony orchestra, 100-foot flames, and giant video screens. Fans were also surprised by appearances from Krept & Konan and Ghetts.
Making use of the huge platform, Stormzy took the opportunity to air his anger towards Theresa May. The Prime Minister was displayed on the screens and depicted as Batman‘s psychopathic villain, The Joker. With the moment prompting huge cheers from the crowd, the ‘Shut Up’ artist simultaneously looked back on last year’s Grenfell tragedy.

Lyrics include: “Theresa May where’s the money for Grenfell? / What you thought we just forgot about Grenfell?” Stormzy performed the track at the BRIT Awards earlier this year.
