Stormzy and Ed Sheeran also performed at the ceremony in 2017, teaming up together for a live duet of ‘Shape Of You’, which was later released as a single.
Last week, it was also announced that Jack Whitehall will host the O2 Arena ceremony – with the role coming after he previously played three stand-up gigs at the venue in 2017.
Describing the honour, Whitehall explained how he was fulfilling a childhood dream.
“I’m thrilled to be hosting the BRITs, it is the kind of show you dream of hosting as a kid, so really excited to have been asked”, Whitehall said.
The Turner Prize winning artist has delivered his own unique take on the award, designing a statuette that sees the goddess Britannia encased in a red shell.
