The singer took to social media to share images of her birthday celebrations – featuring photos of herself with guests dancing while wearing in life-jackets back in May.
A host of stars attended the bash at the time including Alan Carr and James Corden but it’s the first time that Stormzy has revealed that he performed for the singer.
He took to Instagram this evening (July 12) with a picture of him serenading the singer saying: “WORDS WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH FOR THIS CAPTION BUT #TBT to the best night of my entire life. Came out and surprised my friend Adele at her birthday party. If you know me you know what this meant the absolute world to me. BEST NIGHT EVER.”

While many fans sent the singer birthday wishes, others took to Twitter at the time to argue that the theme was inappropriate given the nature of the 1912 disaster.
“I feel this is very distasteful,” replied follower KatieHooper4. “I can understand the theme but only as far as a fancy boat. Wearing life jackets is entirely disrespectful and quite frankly disgusting.
“So many people died at this horrific tragedy and dancing around in life jackets that could have saved so many people is horrific.”
Another argued: “Isn’t this very inappropriate? Adele’s Titanic themed birthday party had them dancing in life jackets… thousands of people actually died.”
Adele was spotted rapping along during Stormzy’s O2 Academy Brixton show last year.
Adele declared herself to be a fan of the grime MC in the past, including giving him a shoutout at one of her shows at The O2 in 2016.
