The man of the moment tells NME.COM offers are pouring in from studios...

Film executives are attempting to turn MIKE SKINNER, AKA Streets, into a film star, NME.COM can reveal.

Speaking to NME.COM in New York last week where he was finishing up a US tour, Skinner said, “[Movie companies] all want to put me in a modern day ‘Quadrophenia’ or something,” referring to the 1979 classic mod flick.

He added that other offers are pouring in at present with studios keen to make him a film star. “At the moment, I’m getting a different one phoning up every week.”

But Skinner is none too keen insisting he can’t act, and currently has no desire to make a film.
