And out come the celebs, naturally...

Streets were ecstatically received at their largest ever show as part of the NME Awards at Brixton Academy on Saturday (8 February).

This crowned an extraordinary year for Streets aka Mike Skinner with an extraordinary genre-busting which even managed the dubious accolade of being nominated for the chin-stroking Mercury Music Prize.

However it was at Brixton that he really came into his own with a tight set from the’Original Pirate Material’ album. There was one well received interlude which featured a film for the grass/booze argument of ‘Irony Of It All’ that shows that Skinner has a talent for acting – extending the belief that he’s the UK’s answer to Eminem.

Celebrities spotted include Courtney Love, Felix from Basement Jaxx and, apparently comedian Frank Skinner.
