SUEDE are to perform for former US President and NOBEL PEACE PRIZE winner JIMMY CARTER, NME.COM can reveal.

The group, who are popular in Norway, have been asked to appear at a live concert at the Oslo Spektrum on December 11, celebrating the award.

Other artists rumoured to be making an appearance are Willie Nelson, Santana and Royksopp, with Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Lange set to present.

The 2002 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Jimmy Carter, for his “decades of untiring effort to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, to advance democracy and human rights, and to promote economic and social development. “

Carter was the President of the US between 1977-81.
