The band add another show to their hectic summer schedule...
SUPER FURRY ANIMALS are to play a one-off show in OXFORD as a warm-up for their headlining appearances at the CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS.
As previously announced on NME.COM, SFA will co-headline the BBC Radio 1 Stage at the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds. They play Reading on Friday August 27 and the following day in Leeds. The band have now revealed they will play the Zodiac in Oxford on August 26.
The band are currently working on the follow-up to 2003’s ‘Phantom Power’ on the Costa Brava. Mario Caldato Jr, who produced the last LP, is once more twiddling the knobs.
But SFA will return play the Brecon Jazz Festival on August 12. The show is in a 1,000 seater marquee, and acts as a ‘warm-up’ for the festival, which opens officially the next day.
The band will then support Air at the Cornwall Eden Project on August 13.
As previously reported on NME.COM, Super Furry Animals are the Saturday night (August 14) headliners at this year’s Summer Sundae Festival in Leicester.
