SUPER FURRY ANIMALS are to play this year’s TRIPTYCH festival in Scotland.

The Welsh pop wizards, currently on a UK tour, will play Tramway theatre in Glasgow on April 29, with support from Mountaineers and Adem.

The festival runs from April 28 – May 2 in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Other acts on the bill include Four Tet,

As previously revealed on NME.COM, SFA release ‘Phantom Phorce’, a collection of reworkings of tracks from the band’s 2003 LP ‘Phantom Power’, on April 19.

The remixes initially appeared on the DVD version of ‘Phantom Power’.

Remixers include [a][/a] and The High Llamas’ Sean O’Hagan.

The band will also make a new EP available as a download on [url=]placidcasual.com later this month. The EP comprises a new edit of ‘Slow Life’, ‘Lost Control’ (a remix of ‘Phantom Power”s ‘Out Of Control’) and ‘Motherfokker’, which features guest appearances from Goldie Lookin’ Chain and Killa Kella.

Initial quantities of ‘Phantom Phorce’ will feature the single as an extra CD in a ‘flat pack’ packaging. Both ‘Phantom Phorce’ and ‘Slow Life’ are released on the band’s own Placid Casual label.
