SUPER FURRY ANIMALS‘ new album has been given a provisional title of ‘PHANTOM POWER’, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

The record, the band’s sixth studio album, is scheduled for release in July.

NME.COM can also report that, as with 2001’s ‘Rings Around The World’, the album will be released with an accompanying DVD.

Although a tracklisting has yet to be confirmed, the LP is expected to included the tracks ‘Cabbage’, ‘Golden Retriever’ and ‘Bleed Forever’. The latter two were regulars in the band’s set on their autumn US tour last year.

A spokesperson for the band would not confirm the details to be correct.

are to make their first live performance of 2003 as part of a [a][/a]-curated event in April.

The band will play at London’s Royal Festival Hall on April 19 , their first gig in the UK since their [url=]New Order support slot at London Finsbury Park last June.
