And the band play a host of classics too as they perform a marathon set in Cork...

SUPER FURRY ANIMALS previewed tracks from new album ‘PHANTOM POWER’ and revived many old classics as they kicked off a frenetic spell of live action in CORK last night (June 18).

The band’s gig at the Savoy was a warm-up for their first major show of the year in Bethesda, Gwynedd, north Wales, on Saturday (June 21), which is followed by a small show at Cardiff MS1 on June 27 and a headline slot on Glastonbury’s Other Stage on June 28.

The band played one of their longest-ever sets, clocking in at around two-and-a-quarter hours. The band played four tracks from ‘Phantom Power’, out on July 21 through Epic. New single ‘Golden Retriever’, out July 7, got an airing, as did ‘Hello Sunshine’, ‘Bleed Forever’ and ‘Out Of Control’, as well as unreleased track ‘Miami Vice’.
