The first single, ‘Juxtaposed With U’, is released on July 2 and backed with new songs, ‘Tradewinds’ and ‘Happiness Is A Worn Pun’. The full album tracklisting is:

‘Alternate Route To Vulcan Street’ ‘Sidewalk Serfer Girl’ ‘(Drawing) Rings Around The World’ ‘It’s Not The End Of The World?”Receptacle For The Respectable’ ‘(A) Touch Sensitive’ ‘Miniature’ ‘Shoot Doris Day”No Sympathy’ ‘Juxtaposed With U’ ‘Presidential Suite’ ‘Run! Christian, Run!’ ‘Fragile Happiness’

Guest musicians include Paul McCartney and John Cale. NME.COM has heard the album and it is a big leap forward, with a similar feel to 1999’s ‘Guerilla’ but with a bigger, melodic pop sound. Speaking exclusively to NME.COM, frontman Gruff Rhys said: “It was originally going to be a state of the planet concept album, but we decided not to do that in the end. It’s about Earth, and the pollution of space, it’s about debris. Musically, this record covers a lot of ground.”
