Super Furry Animals‘ B-sides album, ‘Out Spaced’, hits the shops on November 16. The band have also announced they are to appear at this year’s Sound City, playing at Newcastle University on October 26, supported by Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci and Clinic. Tickets are available now via the NME 24-hour ticketline on 0870 1212 500.
As well as B-sides the album contains BBC Sessions and early singles released by the band’s first label, Ankst. It also features the hard-to-get-hold-of ‘The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’. Singer Gruff said: “We had to painfully omit some songs to compile ‘Out Spaced’ as an album in its own right.” The album is released on both CD and vinyl, with the CD including a 20-page booklet of photography documenting the band’s career to date, housed in a moulded rubber case.
The full tracklisting is: ‘The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’, ‘Dim Brys Dim Chwys’, ‘Smokin”, ‘Dim Bendith’, ‘Arnofio/Glo In The Dark’, ‘Guacamole’, ‘Don’t Be A Fool, Billy’, ‘Focus Pocus/Debiel’, ‘Fix Idris’, ‘Pam V’, ‘Pass The Time’, ‘Carry The Can’ and ‘Blerwytirhwng?’.
The Super Furries are currently back in the studio working on their new album proper, due out next summer. They also embark on a two-week European tour this autumn.
