Not all those who came to the London Virgin Megastore got in, but NME.COM has all the details...

Hundreds of ticketless fans clambered for a view of a free SUPERGRASS show in LONDON last night (September 20).

The band performed a free concert at the Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street. Entry to the gig in the shop’s basement was via wristband only, but nonetheless, fans who couldn’t get in watched the band’s performance on a special television screen erected on the ground floor.

One fan told NME.COM: “I stumbled across this gig while I was shopping. I couldn’t get downstairs so I went onto the first floor where I could see a little bit. It was cool!”

Supergrass performed a fourty minute set comprised of songs from their forthcoming album ‘Life On Other Planets’, including the singles ‘Grace’ and ‘Never Done Nothing Like That Before’. In addition, they played a selection of their greatest hits, ending with a triumphant version of ‘Caught By The Fuzz’.
