Swim Deep have previewed new song ‘To My Brother’ with a 15-second clip.
The song is the first new material from the band since their 2013 debut album ‘Where The Heaven Are We’. Frontman Austin Williams recently described the band’s new music to NME as “psychedelic sex music”, comparing the record to both Kanye West and Fleetwood Mac.
Williams revealed the big ambitions he and his bandmates have for the album. “We wanted to radicalise chart music,” he says of the band’s mindset going into the studio. “So we’ve taken [Kanye West’s] ‘Yeezus’ and [Fleetwood Mac album] ‘Rumours’ and put them together with acid house.”
Swim Deep are also among the first acts confirmed for Live At Leeds 2015. They join Eagulls, Carl Barat and The Jackals, Slaves and Spector among the artists already confirmed.
