South By Southwest countdown begins

The Austin bash is only a day away

This year’s South By SouthWest music conference kicks off on Wednesday (March 14) – and NME.COM will be there will coverage straight from the bash in Austin.

The event sees hundreds of bands, music industry types and fans converging on the Texan capital for five days, and has been responsible for discovering bright new talent along with getting extraordinary performances out of more established artists.

Last year’s event saw everyone from Arctic Monkeys to Morrissey thrilling the crowds who rush around the city centre, which sees shops, bars, restaurants and even churches converted into venues for the duration.

This year NME.COM will be pounding the Austin pavements in force bring you the best coverage from this year’s event.
