Matt Helders will also be launching a clothes shop upstairs
Arctic Monkeys are buying a pub in their native Sheffield, according to reports.
The band’s drummer, Matt Helders, is purchasing the boozer with ex-Arctic Monkeys bassist Andy Nicholson so the rest of the group will have somewhere to relax when they return home.
The pub, called The Bowery, will open on September 20 – and apparently there will be some very special guests playing the launch night.
According to the Daily Mirror there will also be a shop selling Helders‘ clothing range with the Supreme Being label upstairs.
A source said: “Matt and Andy have had their eye on setting up a pub for ages. When the property came on the market they had to have it.”
They added: “It’s perfect, Matt puts in most of the money and Andy can DJ there and manage it when Matt is off touring. All the lads can relax there and bring their mates.”
