Jedward’s Eurovision entry will feature a wheelchair… but no tigers – Tabloid Hell

John Grimes has injured his ankle ahead of this month's contest

Jedward‘s preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest have been sent into chaos after John Grimes injured his ankle during rehearsals.

John is set to perform in a wheelchair when the pair represent Ireland at the annual contest on May 14, reports The Sun.

The ‘singer’ damaged ligaments after apparently “dancing like a gimp” while working on his routine with brother Edward. John has apparently mastered the skill of being able to “dance and wheelie across the stage at the same time”.

In a double blow for the duo, event organisers have also scuppered their plans for using tigers during their performance.

The pair are set to take on the likes of Blue – who are representing the UK – when they perform their track ‘Lipstick’ at the event in Dusseldorf, Germany.

In better news for Jedward, the pair were recently announced as the new faces of Kellogg’s Coco Pops.

The X Factor losers are set to replace current cartoon mascot Coco The Monkey after apparently signing a deal worth around £180,000.
