Take That to regroup for 2013 album?

Pop band plan seventh album and tour

Take That are rumoured to be in talks to regroup next year for a new album and tour.

According to The Sun, Gary Barlow is set to quit X Factor after the current series to reconvene with the rest of Take That to record their seventh studio album.

Barlow, who is currently a mentor on the ITV show alongside Tulisa, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger, is reportedly reeling from the controversial elimination of one of his acts, Carolynne Poole, on last Sunday’s programme and wants to “get back to what he loves best”.

The source continued: “Gary is going to give this series his all and then it will be full steam ahead for Take That. The lads are enjoying a bit of freedom at the moment, but they are all united in their desire to get Take That back on the road. A new album and tour have been discussed and all five of the boys are making really positive noises.”

Mark Owen has just finished recording his first solo album since 1996’s ‘Green Man’, and is planning to tour in Spring, while Jason and Howard are currently doing nothing and are therefore available. Robbie Williams releases his new album ‘Take The Crown’ next month, but will finished with his solo commitments by the time the band regroup.
