Tame Impala have announced plans to release live album ‘Live Versions’ for Record Store Day 2014.

The band’s label Modular will release the album on April 19. Scroll down now to hear ‘Lonerism’ album opener ‘Be Above It’ as recorded at a 2013 live show in Chicago. A full tracklisting for the album follows.

Kevin Parker is quoted as saying that he wanted ‘Live Versions’ to offer fans something different to the recorded versions of his bands songs. According to a press release, Parker picked the tracks, “based on how different the live versions are from the album versions. His goal was to give fans something they won’t already have; something they’ve only previously experienced at a Tame Impala show.”

The ‘Live Versions’ tracklisting is as follows:

‘Endors Toi’
‘Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind’
‘Sestri Levante’
‘Mind Mischief’
‘Desire Be Desire Go’
‘Half Full Glass’
‘Be Above It’
‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’

Tame Impala recently announced details of three UK headline shows to take place in July. The band will be in the UK for appearances at T In The Park and Latitude festivals, as well as support slots on Arctic Monkeys huge outdoor gigs in Finsbury Park, London in May.
