Incident happened during '1989' world tour date in Edmonton on Tuesday
Watch the moment a fan grabbed Taylor Swift by the leg during a recent live show.
Swift’s ‘1989’ world tour arrived in Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday night (August 3) with the pop singer headlining the Rexall Place venue when the incident occured.
Footage shows Swift walk down the runway from the stage while performing ‘Bad Blood’ when a man reaches out and takes hold of her leg. She immediately moves away and flashes what appears to be an angry glare at the man responsible.
The Instagram user who uploaded the clip claimed security was “on hand right away” and that “Taylor carried on like a pro.” See the moment below:
Swift’s world tour continues its run through north America until the end of October, with gigs in Asia and Australia scheduled before the end of 2015.
The singer recently declared Spotify a “start up with no cash flow” in a discussion about her stance on music streaming and the rights to her music.
Speaking in a recent interview, Swift discussed the night she wrote an open letter to Apple in which she criticised the company for not offering artists any royalties on music streamed by customers using a free trial. The company soon changed tact and thanked Swift for helping them see the error of its ways.
The quick response impressed Swift and she went on to let her album ‘1989’ be streamed on Apple Music. The move was seen as significant following her refusal to stream the album elsewhere and the decision to remove her music from Spotify in 2014 in a row over royalty rates.
