Camera cuts to potty-mouthed Swift as her ex-boyfriend's band are speaking on stage

Taylor Swift was caught on camera apparently disparaging her ex-boyfriend’s band One Direction at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) in New York last night (August 24).

As the British boyband spoke on stage, complimenting the local crowd by telling them “the best fans are in New York”, the camera cut to Swift, who was seen glancing at fellow pop singer Selena Gomez with an unimpressed look on her face before saying “shut the fuck up”. Swift, who dated One Direction’s Harry Styles for several months at the end of last year, collected the Best Female Video award from Daft Punk at the awards bash last night. The elusive French duo, making a rare TV appearance at the event, also unveiled a teaser clip from their forthcoming video for ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’.

Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake reunited with his former band ‘N Sync during a 15-minute greatest hits medley performance to celebrate his winning the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Timberlake took home three other prizes on the night, including the Video of the Year award for ‘Mirrors’.

Other winners at the 30th annual MTV VMAs included 30 Seconds To Mars, who collected the Best Rock Video gong for ‘Up In The Air’, as well as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Janelle Monae, One Direction, Bruno Mars and Selena Gomez.
