Taylor Swift new album rumours sparked by AT&T deal

Singer signs 'multi-year, multi-faceted deal featuring performances and content'

Taylor Swift fans are speculating that the singer could be set to release a new album after signing a deal with telecom company AT&T.

The phone providers announced today that they had teamed up with Swift for “a major, exclusive multi-year, multi-faceted deal featuring performances and content”. The deal has been confirmed to include a AT&T-sponsored pre-Super Bowl gig in Houston, Texas next February.

Reacting to the news on Twitter, Swift said that “this is gonna be fun”. See that post below.

Swift recently extended her publishing deal with Sony/ATV, while it has also been reported that she is back in the studio.

The news of the AT&T has led fans to speculate that the deal could lead to a sixth album release from Swift, possibly as a commercial tie-in.

NME has approached Swift’s PR for a response.

Meanwhile, Demi Lovato has slammed Swift and her so-called squad for “tearing down Katy Perry”.
