The singer performed a stripped back version of 'Blank Space'
Taylor Swift showed up to a fan’s wedding yesterday (June 4) to play a stripped back version of her single ‘Blank Space’.
The US singer had been contacted by the groom’s sister Ali a few months ago to inform Swift that her brother, Max Singer and his fiancé Kenya Smith had wed at a hospital so that Singer’s mother wouldn’t miss it before she passed away.
Then, during the reception at a yacht club in Brant Beach, New Jersey yesterday, Swift surprised the happy couple by playing piano and singing ‘Blank Space’.
Swift also made a card with a floral pattern done in watercolours (see picture below) for the married pair, People reports, that read “So it’s gonna be forever”.
Family members, including Smith’s cousin and sister, posted videos and pictures on their social networks, and Swift even took to Instagram to post a couple of pictures of her with the couple and their family.
Swift has recently been in the news regarding the split between her and Calvin Harris after a 15-month relationship.
When the rumours broke earlier this week (June 2), neither Swift nor Harris had confirmed the split, but the following day Harris tweeted: “The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect.”
Harris recently released new single ‘This Is What You Came For’, a collaboration with Rihanna following the success of their ‘We Found Love’ pairing.
The DJ and producer’s residencies at Omnia and Wet Republic in Las Vegas run until September, interrupted by UK festival shows at Wireless, T In The Park and Creamfields.
